AVT holds patents in Japan, China, Europe, the USA and Canada for the Multiphone™, a multi-functional portable video cell phone capable of interactive visual and audio communications with another similar device, utilizing a rotating video camera on a pivotal axis.

AVT has also invented, developed and is presently enhancing video filter compression and decompression, reassembly, repair and synchronization code which is expected to be an industry leader in low-power consumption, low-bit rate video and speech compression technology.

AVT’s technology can be used to conduct real-time video over existing wireless and satellite networks. Our narrowband solutions operate over circuit switched and packet data wireless networks currently used by cellular and satellite phones.

Applications for AVT’s VideoCrunch® Unit include video interactive cell phones, mobile-monitoring environments such as on-board commercial aircraft, tele-medicine in ambulances, security surveillance on public buses, and armored vehicles and military applications.

With the assistance of McAndrews Held and Malloy, AVT was successful in its quest for a third patent in Japan.
